When you arrive at Tiew's Thai Table, you're not walking into a restaurant, you're walking into a home — my home — where every dish tells a story, every ingredient has a memory, and every guest leaves feeling like family.
I grew up in Lampang, Northern Thailand, watching and cooking beside my Mum in her noodle shop. Those flavours, the lemongrass, the kaffir lime, the hand-pounded curry pastes are what I bring to your table tonight.
Throughout the evening, I love sharing stories behind each dish, the Thai ingredients, the traditions, and the culture that make Thai food so unique. You can also admire our elephant artwork 🐘🐘 A piece of Thailand in every corner of our dining room is home to two very special works of art, both painted by elephants at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. The first painting was created by Aingha 🐘 — a boy elephant who painted his piece when he was just 6 years old.
The second was painted by Aom-Ari 🐘 — a girl elephant who created her masterpiece at the age of 8. These paintings are not just decoration. They are a reminder of the gentle, intelligent souls that are so deeply woven into Thai culture and heritage and a piece of Thailand that lives right here in our Southam home.
When you dine with us, we love sharing the stories behind these paintings, our ingredients, and the traditions that make Thai food so deeply meaningful. You might even meet Smokey at the end of the night 🐱
